it means that not only does the future matter, but today as well. Change doesn't have to start tomarrow, progress doesn't happen in the future, it happens now, today we can start change, today we can lead a movement, today we can spread the word, today we can start a revolution. don't say 'what can I really do in one day?' say 'I'm going to do anything today'. Today matters, everyday matters, don't waste it!
Today matters means that each day, each moment is special. Being present and enjoying the everyday experiences that move thought your life. These moments are all about living ~ today
Thanks for the new December contest!
Today Matters…..this is the only “time” we have…this moment, this day….of course it matters….it is our Life…..Blessings on the Tees….Kay
Today matters…because the events of today cascade forward through all of our tomorrows changing the warp and weave of the rest of our lives and those we love and those that love us.
Be here, be now! I didn't originate that, but it really sums it up. So often we are living in the past or planning for the future. Living in the past keeps us stuck in a rut, mentally rehashing and creating the same experiences over and over, and how often do we look to the future for a magical answer, a saviour, an event or change (someone or something else to initiate the change) when the answer is already in the moment we are in.
It's a reminder not to wait until I get to some “magic” goal I might set up–like, “when I get my degree,” or the even more fatal qualifier: “when I get time.” What we do today matters, because it's what we actually DO that makes the difference. There are three levels of action: Thought, speech, and physical behavior. “Intentions” are good, and are a sort of organizing bracket at the level of thought. Much more is done with action in the physical world. So, I take action now, today. Today is what I have.
I have found from my experience that a lot can happen in one day. My whole life has changed in one day. One moment I am in my comfortable pattern, and then something shifts, and everything that I thought was keeping me safe is gone and I wake up again.
